Customs & prohibited items
Before you buy, check what can be shipped and how taxes work.
This page is informational and does not replace the official regulations in force (customs and competent authorities), which may change without notice.
Customs taxes
Shipments are subject to Venezuelan customs regulations. Any amounts and taxes due are determined by the customs authority, not by CBOX.
As a reference, low-value purchases (under USD 100 per package) usually do not generate taxes; above that value a charge may apply depending on the type of item.
If customs requires a payment, we will let you know before delivering the package.
Prohibited items
We do not carry, and may hold or return, these items:
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives and their parts
- Drugs, narcotics and controlled substances
- Counterfeit goods or goods that infringe intellectual property rights
- Flammable, corrosive, toxic or radioactive material
- Cash, securities and undeclared high-value jewelry
- Illegal pornographic material or material harming the rights of minors
- Live animals and remains of protected animals
Restricted items
Some products require permits or have special conditions (lithium batteries, perfumes, medicines, food, telecommunications equipment). Write to us before buying them.
The sender is responsible for declaring the contents correctly. A false declaration may result in holds, fines and loss of the goods.
